Daisy is a female mixed breed puppy that was probably born around December 2007. Daisy was adopted from the dog shelter by a family that was not allowed to have pets in their apartment: needless to say she was soon after brought to us. Daisy is a sweet girl that deserves a loving forever home.

Hank is a 2-3 year old male yellow lab. We rescued Hank after he had basically been abandoned. He was tied up in his previous owner’s back yard and never socialized. By the time we got to Hank he was so dehydrated he could not swallow any food. Based on his condition and level of dehydration there was no medical reason for him to still be alive. The fact that Hank survived this neglect is nothing short of a miracle. Hank was very reserved at first and even a little aggressive; but it hasn’t taken him long to realize that not every human wants to hurt him. Now that he knows we are there to help him he has shown us what a sweet boy he really is. He surprisingly shows no food aggression whatsoever and is great with children. Charlie is a black male Schipperke that was born in August 2006. Charlie is a very sweet boy that loves other dogs and loves children. Charlie’s favorite pass time is to go on walks; and he does very well on a leash. He has a typical Schipperke personality and would make a great addition to most any home

Bently is a male pointer mix that is about four years of age. Bently was dumped at the shelter after hours so little is known of his past. While in our care he has demonstrated a very goofy lovable personality. Bently is a very good boy that deserves a very good home.

Especially Scooter! Scooter is a wild man that is very vocal and has lots of energy. Abby is the runt of Winnie's litter. She is a little fighter, just like her momma. She is a typical little hound dog with lots of exploring to do, but like her brother, she will snuggle right up as soon as she gets the chance. Bella is a female Aierdale mix that was born on 10/25/07. Bella was adopted out from our shelter as a small puppy and was recently returned: not because of anything she had done rather there were personal issues within the family. Her previous owners claim that Bella is a terrific companion: she is great with children and she is housetrained. Bella adores other animals as well. Unfortunately the picture posted here does not due Bella justice. She was so excited to be out of her run all she wanted to do was cuddle and explore! Buddy is a welsh corgi mix who is about 2 years old. He is house broken and working on obedience training curently at CRC. He does very well with people and other dogs, and would be a great addition to a family with kids. He weighs approximately 35 pounds.

Elsa is a two year old Norwegian Elkhound mix. Elsa is very scared in the shelter and is very shy. In fact she was going to be euthanized at the dog shelter because she hid in the back of her run and no one ever noticed her. Suki is a gorgeous female Great Dane with blue markings. Suki was born on 4/13/06. Suki was surrendered by her owners because they no longer had “room” for her. Zoey is a female Harlequin Great Dane that was born on 4/13/06. Zoey was surrendered by her owners because they no longer had “room” for her. Ollie is a small male mixed breed that is very cute! Poor little Ollie was found after he had been hit by a car on Lockville Rd. Ollie is a very sweet boy and just wants to be close to you. He would make a great lap dog and a terrific companion.

Tia is a female mixed breed that was mostly likely born around 3/1/07. Tia came to us with injured foot pads and dangerously underweight. It appears as if Tia recently had a litter of puppies however when she was found running stray there were no puppies to be found. Tia is a little timid and shy but she is very friendly and loving once you give her a little time.

Rex is a young male mixed breed that was found running stray. We suspect that he is mixed with chow and black lab but who knows where those crazy ears came from! Holly is a female Chow/Black Lab mix who is VERY sweet. Holly has had a rough life. Someone dumped Holly in the back pen overnight; it was raining and just above freezing out. Holly was very cold and soaking wet. She was nearly starved to death: you could clearly see every rib and every vertebra on her tiny body. Holly was also missing most of he hair and was covered in sores as a result of demodectic mange. Despite her heartbreaking appearance and empty belly she has always had the sweetest disposition. Holly is very quiet and calm and gets along well with other dogs. She loves everyone and only wants someone to pay her a bit of attention. During her stay Holly has nearly reached her ideal weight and most of her hair is at least beginning to grow back. She is content just to have a warm place to sleep and food in her bowl. The only thing that could possibly make this sweet girl any happier is for someone to take her home.

Marmaduke was born in January of this year to a litter of 5 chow mix puppies; Marmaduke and his brother Rosco are the only two remaining from that litter. Both boys are typical energetic puppies who can’t wait for a forever home that has lots of toys and room to run and play!

Addie is a three month old, female, brindle, whippet mix, who was found stray in Pickerington. Addie is somewhat timid at first and probably should not be trusted around small children. Once Addie knows you do not intend to harm her she is very sweet and loving.

Truman is a one year old male mixed breed with LOTS and LOTS of energy! Truman was dumped in the back pen of the shelter after hours. He appears to be housetrained; he will not go in his run and goes in the grass when the kennel tech takes him out in the morning. Truman is a big dog and is probably most of the way done growing but he still may get bigger. Potential adopters need to understand that what they are getting themselves into; Truman is one big rowdy boy! A fenced in yard is probably a VERY good idea. Truman is very happy to be alive and loves people!
