Washing the dogDid you know?

Did you know that the Fairfield Area Humane Society is the ONLY place in Fairfield County where animals can depend on shelter and medical care when they are injured or abused or their owners can no longer look after them? We do not limit ourselves to dogs and cats; we've tended to Pot-bellied pigs, birds, horses, goats, small rodents and even an alligator or two! Do you realize that unlike the county shelter, we are not funded through tax money? The Fairfield Area Humane Society is almost completely supported by the financial donations from caring individuals like you who recognize the value of what we do!

We are a 501 (c)(3) private, non-profit organization and rely on the generosity of others to assist us in the support the care of neglected and homeless animals in Fairfield County, as well as aid in the prosecution of those who inflict cruelty, abuse and neglect on animals.

Amber the dogAdopt-A-Kennel

Fairfield Area Humane Society invites donors to participate in an Adopt-a-Kennel campaign. This promotion affords you the naming rights of one kennel for one year. When you adopt a kennel, a plaque will be engraved with your family and/or company name, and the plaque will be displayed over your kennel. This program offers a unique way in which to honor a loved one or a beloved pet, and it provides an opportunity for you to participate in Fairfield County's historic tradition of humane animal treatment.
