THANK YOU WINCHESTER VETERINARY
CLINIC!!!!
The Fairfield Area Humane Society
would like to extend a very
heartfelt and well deserved thank
you to the Winchester Veterinary
Clinic for their recent
contributions to our shelter.
Recently the staff of Winchester
Veterinary Clinic volunteered two
entire Sundays dedicated to
performing heartworm testing,
administering rabies vaccinations,
and spaying and neutering each and
every animal in our shelter that
needed it. As if this were not
gracious enough, they provided our
shelter all of these services FREE
OF CHARGE! Their clinic staffs
approximately 25 employees and 95%
of them volunteered their service
and expertise free of charge in
order to help our shelter. All of
their work took two entire days to
complete because there were so many
animals requiring this care.
They did not let their generosity stop
there; they are going to continue
offering their services at cost for
2 animals a day, 5 days a week, for
the next two weeks! In addition to
this, they spayed Sugar, the abused
Rottweiller who received worldwide
attention several months ago! Sugar
has had numerous complications from
her prior abuse that has prevented
veterinary professionals in the past
from performing a spay on her.
However, the amazing staff at
Winchester Veterinary Clinic took
all the necessary precautions and
successfully performed the surgery.
All of the extra work that went into
Sugar’s surgery increased the cost
dramatically; normally such a
procedure would have cost about
$400, however they performed her
surgery free of charge!
To the staff at Winchester Veterinary
Clinic: there are no words that
would adequately express our
gratitude. We are so grateful for
what you have done for us. I was
once told that heaven reserves a
special place for people who help
those who cannot help themselves.
You have done a tremendous service
to MANY helpless animals that do not
have homes or families that love
them; animals that are innocent of
any crime but yet are being punished
because of the ignorance and
irresponsibility of man. You have
helped these animals become
adoptable so that they may go on to
find their forever families. You
have allowed our shelter to rescue
more animals and in doing so, saved
more lives. You have done so much
for our shelter and for the animals,
and you have asked for nothing in
return. We can only respond to such
a gracious gesture with all the
thanks in the world. Thank you.
To everyone else: if you are
currently looking for a
veterinarian, the Fairfield Area
Humane Society whole heartily
recommends the Winchester Veterinary
Clinic!
