Michelle Sahr,
Executive Director
The Fairfield Area
Humane Society is pleased to welcome Michelle Sahr,
Executive Director, who joined our organization in
October, 2006. She is a life-long native of central
Ohio and resides on a beautiful little farm in
Lancaster with her husband, two young daughters, and
her many other furry friends. Michelle understands
the value of hard work and is extremely versatile in
her ability to multi-task in order to accommodate
the demands of running the county’s sole humane
society. She is a trustworthy and caring person who
strives to ensure that each and every animal in her
care is treated with the utmost dignity and respect.
She takes extra care to thoroughly evaluate
prospective foster families and pet owners prior to
placing the animals in their care. Michelle brings
with her an extensive background in back-office
management and prides herself on her commitment to
customer service. She intends to utilize her
business savvy to embark on fund raising ventures in
order to invest in our organization and afford a
safer, healthier environment for Fairfield County’s
animals that are increasingly homeless, neglected
and abused. Michelle encourages pet owners to act
responsibly by having their pets spayed or neutered.
In addition, she urges pet owners to care for their
animals responsibly by seeking veterinary care and
ensuring a healthy diet. /“After all,”/ Michelle
says, /“how we treat our animals is a strong
indicator of how we treat one another. How do you
wish to be treated?”/
